I did expect a piece of furniture that had been refurbished with care and brought back to life. Although the piece is attractive on the outside, sadly the same cannot be said for the insides of the drawers or underneath.
It’s has been shoddily fixed with no attention to detail, the smooth operation of the drawers, matching timber or any joinery detailing.
It was also dirty and the wood left raw in places. It has clearly been dipped to strip the old varnish and no attempt to sand and smooth the surfaces thereafter. Parts seem to have had a sealant applied and other bits like the turned legs are raw wood. I spent hours putting foam strips under the drawers for a smoother glide and cleaning the dust and cobwebs away as well as lining the drawers.
Common people, you can do better 🙁
